Easter Special
Over the Easter weekend, come and enjoy a train ride and Easter activities. See if you can spot the Easter bunny and count how many Easter eggs you can see!

Halloween Special
Join us for spooky train rides when we run into the night at Halloween. We run from 3pm until 8pm. We invite all passengers to dress up for the occasion. The track is decorated with ghosts and ghouls. You may even find a skeleton driving your train!

Christmas Special
Our Christmas special is the final running weekend of the Avonvale year. Come and enjoy our Christmas train rides which run from 2pm until 6pm. Enjoy our many Christmas decorations and lights. You may be lucky and find the Grinch driving your train.

There is something for everyone - young and old!
The model engineering club has been operating at the current site adjacent to Hillers Farm Shop since October 2001.
Since this time, members have landscaped the area and created the 1/3 of a mile long scenic railway that we have today.
Our Railway
Avonvale Miniature Railway has been running a dual gauge 5 and 7 1/4 inch railway at Hillers Farm Shop since 2001. Staffed and maintained by volunteers, the fully signalled 1/3 mile long scenic railway features a signal box, bridges, two platforms, a tunnel and a station.

Look out for our resident animal collection including, Edgar the Elephant and Dexter the Dinosaur.
We are open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 until 16:00 two weekends a month between Easter and Halloween, subject to weather conditions. Please note that these opening times may differ on Special Event Dates.
There's always plenty to see and do!
